Donald Trump 10 Years, 4 Months ago
It now looks likely that this New Yorker will run for the 58th US presidency, in 2016.

Aged 68 and worth $4/5 billion, Trump has supported the Republicans and the Democrats in the past.

With Hillary Clinton (aged 67/Democrat) expected to announce her campaign soon, the next 20 months could prove very interesting.

As far as I know. he has no political experience - but could throw enough money into the campaign to make progress.

Hillary Clinton - currently staying quiet, and undeclared - is top of the unofficial polls. And there is no other strong/high profile individual, with their names in the hat so far.

Now, Trump has resigned from The Apprentice.

I suppose the publicity will do no harm, even if he thinks he cant win.

At 68 and a billionaire from property investment and development - I doubt that publicity is what he craves.

Maybe the power and status of being the 'leader of the free world'....

Is there a bigger job - in this world of growing problems from so many parts/areas, with rapidly advancing weaponry and technology?

He loves being in the public eye, he has never admitted making a mistake or bullshitting. He cheated on Ivana numerous time. The Apprentice had it's day and was shown on BBC years after the US broadcast.

Ivana made money than Trump when she was put in charge of the casino.

This is a great read but little heavy going to start with, the author was sued when it was published but it is very believable.

Stayed at the Mar-a-Lago club, in Palm Beach once. Owned by Trump.

Money never changes hands - and membership has a 7 year waiting list.

Luxury and class. Extremely expensive.

G&T - $100.

If DT wants to be president of the USA...

He will.

Wealty men from Carnegie to Gates gave their money away - to charity.

DT has it earmarked for 2016.....

surely the understatement of the year !!

thrives on publicity but amazingly boring, not worth nearly as much as claimed.

But yes Hilary will win just by fact the US must have first female president and who needs a Republican when you have Hilary?

Re:Donald Trump 10 Years, 4 Months ago
One thing Trump is homing in on is the US motor industry which has largely moved from places like Detroit (now a bankrupt ghost-city) - to Mexico, which offers more beneficial tax and trading conditions.

Efforts to return it will prove popular with the American voter - as will some of his high profile/highly successful business deals - in recent times. And his realization the the USA is now really three countries.

All needing different types of help. First - California, Florida, DC/NYC; doing well. Second - Farm/food belt, Wyoming, Idaho, Texas; ticking over. But Third - Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago; virtually dead.
