TOPIC: Election 2015
#129379
Election 2015 10 Years, 4 Months ago
Boring! Six weeks of mind numbing waffle from superficial dishonest people trying not to upset the media, who are only looking for a "good story".

Which, of course, will create dozens of SEX SCANDALS. It's the current way to beat your enemies so let's expect dozens of MPs to find themselves being accused of everything from wife beating to historical abuse.

Every one, naturally, will be a great media story. How are the mighty fallen? So look to the very top. Low profile locals are less good copy than high ranking media personalities.

Check out my piece in the next Inside Time about how prisoners can affect local MP chances. Do please subscribe to Inside Time (as all the media does). You'll find many stories not carried elsewhere.

And my advice? Don't vote. Join the majority (I suspect more people won't vote this time around than ever before).

So how do you think it will work out? I reckon 5 more years of exactly what we've had. Tories plus Lib Dems - another coalition.

Labour will lose seats; SNP will do very well but not well enough for a Lab/SNP coalition.

UKIP may grab a few seats but nowhere near enough to have any impact. Ditto Greens.

I got a feeling it be a coalition with UKIP and Tories.

Choice of cartoon leaders: Iggle Piggle, Wallace & 'wild card' Homer Simpson.

No choice at all. retardedkingdom.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/t...oot-of-all-evil.html

Yes a coalition - but between whom? The most unpredictable election for years, say the experts.

Some of the difficult questions:- how many seats will the LibDems lose; how many will UKIP gain - and how important will the role/involvement of 'nationalist' parties.

Deals will be done by new, unprecedented and the most unlikeliest of bedfellows - and new best friends...

But UKIP don't have enough candidates, do they?

My point is I don't think there WILL be "new best friends" - I suspect it will be the same old bromance, Davey and Nicky.

Does it not really depend on how many seats the LibDems lose?

56 seats is impressive and significant. Half that may not be...

Yes I suspect they will lose far fewer than predicted.

Labour has a 4 point lead in the polls after Cameroon's squirming during the channel 4 debate with Jeremy Paxman.
This would lead me to believe that there will be a labour/lib-dem coalition. The way that elections work in this country, if you live in a constituency with a safe majority for one party, then any votes for any other party count for nothing.

I think the Patt and SP saga has run its course now please! Election. I suspect Labour will lose more seats in Scotland than they will gain in England; Tories will do better than expected in England; Lib Dems will also do better than expected, holding most of their seats - around 50; and another Tory/Lib Dem Coalition will probably emerge.

Only a 10% seat loss?

The 'fees u-turn' will cost them more than that - the experts say.

But - it is also said - all bets are off for this election. And we may well see a totally new political landscape.

As parties now have new DNA; Labour's links for example - to the 'working classes' - are somewhat tenuous, these days..

Dave and Conservative co paid moi and a few chosen buddies £60 to attend a meeting last night at the Holiday Inn Minster.
Group discussions, packed full of political scientists and Tory luminaries et al....free drinks!..

....Result?....Expect a certain Mr Farage to carry much of the former Tory vote...enough to win?....Have to ask SPee,I'm off again on a continental jaunt, somebody has to work to keep Nick Clegg in enough cash to fund Looney Lib policies like giving our dosh away to Ethiopian pop stars.

......come back ITK

Best laugh I've had in years !

ONE SEAT .... that's ALL Ukippers will get !

I note that Silliband is STILL not answering ANY questions ... just issuing bland meaningless statements like "we can do better".

Doesn't everyone agree with that ?

Of course, its David Axelrod (the one who came up with the "Change" campaign for Obama - the "change" that we NEVER saw !!!) that is behind the "hide everything that Silliband wants to do - tax and borrow ! - as it will put the electorate off !). Just have a bland campaign with statements everyone can agree with - wouldn't it be better if it were sunny every day !

"It doesn't have to be like this"

Yet another bland meaningless quote from Silliband which says nothing about his policies and is designed to appeal to everyone without telling anyone what to expect !
