These ludicrous latest bout of false allegations seem entirely to be focussing on gay sex - which, of course, was illegal between anyone under 21 until the mid 1990s. Of course sensible politicians and cops "covered up" or "lost" claims intended to discredit or jail decent men who were gay. Now, as predicted, that slight exaggeration kicks in. All those hustlers of 19 or 20 who made fortunes (and loved it) catering to gay men are emerging from the woodwork claiming to have been 15 or that children were murdered. And we are now ordered "you will be believed" to take them seriously. Better spend our taxes on these investigations than shoring up the NHS, people think.

A far bigger insult to the public intelligence since the totalitarian 'sex victims revised 1980s' ongoing.

Is that, "you WILL officially believe" that NOT ONE rent-boy, gay boy, or goodtime girl was EVER not a victim but in fact was amused by pre legal mere sex.

I saw the movie about Alan Turing the other day....it's not false allegations we should really worry about,but the very real and evil treatment we dished out as a society to a persecuted minority....hormone therapy???...I expect scandal and compo are more appealing to readers than state brutality.

The past treatment of those attracted to people of the same gender was disgusting but it still goes on, even worse, in Iran, Uganda and other places. It is a symptom of the understandable ancient human desire to promulgate the species. But times have changed and the essential desire by decent people is now to encourage and support love between members of the human race. Still, however, there lingers elements of the hatred for those who defy majority morality from past eras. The areas I find offensive are those who genuinely believe in sexual equality but feel they cannot cross the line and notice, let alone complain about, judicial and social injustice. From The Guardian to Peter Tatchell, they avoid the extreme protest - that thousands have been falsely accused and wrongly convicted.

Indeed Peter Tatchel has joined in the unproved condemnation of Savile and basically all the Westminster pedo claims. He's an ineffectual campaigner who garners much publicity but little else.

I have met him and sat for an hour or so discussing things and he's an extremely shy person like many who can often publicly appear an extrovert but are really the opposite.
