Banksy and Vettriano 10 Years, 3 Months ago  
Watching the news items on Banksy's art work in Gaza being sold, I realise he and Jack Vettriano have a similar look to them and both are despised by critics yet loved by the public including me.

But the point of art is to feel cleverer and more knowledgeable and appreciative than everyone else. If everyone else likes Vettriano you have to sneer at it and pay a fortune for something that the masses don't "understand" (Probably because it is crap)
