Yes Cilla , I think we as humans have more instinct for upsetting events than we realise.
Over breakfast our entire conversation was about Alan Freeman memories.
My earliest memory was back to 1971, sat with my head virtually IN the big wooden Decca gramaphone, and listening to his show awaiting the chart countdown on a Sunday, and typing out his playlist in order.
It was quite infuriating in many ways, as he would use nicknames for acts, which of course was very witty, but when he would say, for example, "Not arf, and at number 19, guess who?"
Which of course I would write down as Guess Who, as the aforementioned act sang "Maggie May".
We had a DJ thread a while back, and I think he was featured, but this week, and today he is number one in our hearts pop pickers.
What great shows, what a personality and really up there with Peely.
Cheers Fluff, you made our lives brighter.
