Yesterday, once again, I was harrased by double glazing salesmen on the doorstep cold calling.
When the particularly aggresive salesman announced which company he worked for, I informed him that if he had done his homework properly he would know that his company had already fitted my whole house and we were in financial dispute with them for late delivery of goods.
I then shouted out very loudly to the neighbours "do not answer the door bell its` the crooks from ****** windows again."
The salesman squared up to me and proclaimed me "mentally ill".
I instantly rang his boss, who called me back and informed me that the local salesman from the area had been dismissed for constant aggresive sales.
Justice you may think.
However , as it turns out,the unlucky saleman was not working yesterday, and the guy at the door had nothing to do with the company whatsoever, and would appear to be just checking to see if anyone was in.
A burglar basically, quite a common problem around here, but I do hope that my venom at cold calling tactics has saved some elderly person from being taken advantage of.
