I have just finished my first ever viewing, I realise I was a bit late on this one, but it was absolutely stunning and so scary even the dog hid behind me.
With a budget as high as that it would have been awful to blow it all on the cast.
A fantastic team effort in a project I can`t see ever dating.
It made "Independence Day" look like the kids film it is, but still raises the question, with so much destruction around in the world, why do we still pay to watch fantasy destruction?
Is it the same as the Cuban missile crisis era, horror genre represented in the film "Matinee", in which we leave the viewing of the film with a feeling that everything is allright after all?
Certainly in the case of my dog , yes, for the rest of us? Hmmmm

I've left it later than you .. because I haven't seen it. Nor has my dog (I think).

It`s left quite a footprint on me actually, rarely do films these days. There were moments in it when I actually felt sick. I won`t give anything away, but the ending has a very subtle twist on the book ending.
I still have not watched "The Passion of Christ " yet, as my friends say I won`t be able to handle it.It still sits here unwatched.
If your dog has sneaked out to see it, she/ he needs a quiet talk over dinner!

Passion of the Christ is one of the best films ever but you need a very strong stomach; funnily enough I found it not religious but human; how little people destroy a decent big person.
