I always predicted Will Smith would be the first Black US President (and Hillary Clinton the first woman).

Barack looks good - which worries me.

The more superficially dishy candidates are, the more the project disturbs me. I do understand marketing.

His meteoric rise worries me - he's only been a Senator for 2 years (not even a full term) yet he's been "tipped" as a future President for nearly a year already.

His style and charm is reminiscent of an early Tony Blair (and what happened to him when the sheep's clothes came off should be a warning to all!)

He seems a decent candidate. We'd support him over Bush's replacement anyway, wouldn't we?

He's inexperienced though, with only one term as senator. And it is thought that the fact he is half African half American rather than an African-American will work against him.

I'll settle for Hilary as the first female President, and Will as the first black one.

He's a Democrat, but unlike Hilary he voted against the Iraq invasion (which will work for him and against her) and he's already promised to pull US troops out of Iraq by March 2008 (ie within 2 months of becoming Pressie).

He has no chance of winning even his party 's nomination. His anti-war stance has killed his chances. The whole economic structure of USA depends on arms, the selling of those arms overseas and waging war. Remember Kennedy, destroyed by trying to end the Vietnam war. Hilary knows where the money comes from; she learnt something in her time inside the White House.

Though don't write off Rudi - he was a damn good Mayor when I lived in New York; liberal on sensible things - anti death penalty; pro abortion... and did actually improve the city.
