she seems a bit obsessive in her pursuit of that lawyer but Hewson is a "plain" speaker.

No idea what the age of consent should be but as trhere are several EU countries where it's 12/13/14/15 and they haven't gone to Hell in a Handbasket she does show that rational discussion about this is impossible.

Do I detect the sulphurous whiff of a typical PC-Left effort to besmirch the character of a woman who has tirelessly challenged the vindictive virtuousness of official State ideology at every turn?

A woman who has defended due process, the presumption of innocence and the rule of law against the PC fanatics who wish to purge the world of anyone they suspect of being a sexual heretic? A woman who can see that the Utopia these historic abuse zealots are pursing with an ideological fervour bordering on frenzy will result in unconscionable perversions of justice on a huge scale? I may be mistaken, but I smell an especially malodorous ideological rat.

My respect for Ms Hewson remains entirely undiminished, as does my contempt for right-on victimologists who take delight in taking offence and playing the victim card whenever it suits them. Which is usually when their mercilessly punitive creeds are exposed as poisonous tosh.

Kind of you, Mr Dwarf, although I must say that I find your own writing excellent.

It's just that I occasionally find myself moved to take to the keyboard when I see self-idealising social justice warrior finger-pointers trying to trash people for daring to disagree with them. It's astonishing how hateful and bigoted the pilgrims of PC virtuousness become when they think they're opposing hatred and bigotry, and how readily they cry harassment when their spiteful dogmas are challenged.
