TOPIC: New Rape laws
#1621
New Rape laws 18 Years, 1 Month ago
Apparently the government are thinking of bringing in a law that will mean if a woman has sex whilst she is drunk, then she could prosecute the man for Rape. On the basis that she was not in a fit state to consent to sex. If men become scared from having sex whilst drunk then the population of this country is going to rapidly decline. Also in the interests of equality, shouldn't they make it law that if a man sleeps with a
"Munter" whilst drunk, he should be able to sue for distress.

This country is becoming like a nanny state, can't people take responsibility for their actions anymore.

The story that I read said men should "ensure" that consent had been granted ... I have mental visions now of people carrying consent forms around !

Unless someones jaw is wired open and alcohol forced down them, a grow adult should be 18 Years, 1 Month ago
responsible enough not to drink so much that they are unable to take care of their own safety.

Imagine a new law claiming that drunk drivers were took drunk to know they were too drunk to drive !

The legal people are claiming that rape convictions are so low because so many women are drunk and its impossible to really determine whether consent was really given.

This opens up a very dangerous can of worms.

Some universities in the north west won't allow the students to have 'school disco' nights as apparently it encourages rape!

I have a theory on all this unhealthy obsession with sexuality... 18 Years, 1 Month ago
and one day will write it and post it on Attitudes & Opinions!
But it can be summed up in the motto...
There's nothing wrong with sex. There's a lot wrong with abuse.

Does this mean I get seven years for back dated insecurity when I was I seventeen years old?
Knowing the way things are going, I expect so...
