TOPIC: I feel very sorry for May
#166714
I feel very sorry for May 6 Years, 7 Months ago
Watching her on Marr, the poor woman has been incredibly successful doing things just the way she has always done. Simplify, cliche, tabloid headline policies. Avoid questions by mentioning women and children. Avoid doing anything or saying anything that might turn the media against you and you won't lose your job (especially when nobody else wants to touch it with a bargepole - like Home Secretary). "We must make things better". "We stand for all people".

You can hear the panic in her voice. She's almost crying; she is so out of her depth.

Coughing and choking; she looked about to pass out. Geriatric abuse Andrew! Stop asking her questions; the poor thing is on her last legs, mentally and physically, and may burst into tears at any moment. Indeed there's a rumour going around she's changing her name to Theresa Might. When asked about Universal Credit, instead of simply saying "we are looking at specific cases urgently and will help those in trouble" she burbled on between splutters. Andrew had to ask "Is that yes or no?". This is torment to watch. Stop torturing her Marr. I can't stand the woman but the torture is unbearable.

I'm screaming at the TV - let her sip some water! This is agony.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. I predict she will be out of No10 by tomorrow morning and quite possibly in hospital.

They can't reverse UC it's already being rolled out.

Waiting 6 weeks is the norm and yes you can help during that and yes you do have to pay it back.

I'm not a fan either but they won't change it and IDS is to blame for it not May.

Woman on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Hope I didn't look as shattered on my 61st birthday.

Very ironic JK.

You go on about Internet trolls buthe you're trolling yourself.

It's not trolling Andrew; it's genuine concern. The woman is breaking apart on national TV; it should not be allowed. Just watch the next few days.

Is any criticism online trolling now?

I think for many it is, these days. But my comments were not even really criticism. I found May's interview really quite upsetting as a human being. As Matthew Parris says, a decent person. But way beyond her depth and finding that out has shattered her.

No, I thought your comments were very supportive actually, especially as you are not keen on her.

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult Pru!

The Bleach Boys sing:

"I love the colourless clothes she wears
And the way the neon light plays on her hair
I hear the sound of a rasping throat
And a freezing Brussels wind which chills the soul

I'm pickin' up bad vibrations
She's givin' me Brexitations
I'm pickin' up bad vibrations
She's givin' me Brexitations

Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations
Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations
Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations

Close my eyes, she's somehow closer now
With a ghastly smile, I know she is unkind
I am sucked into her empty eyes
She goes with me to the very depths of Hell

I'm pickin' up bad vibrations
She's givin' me Brexitations
I'm pickin' up bad vibrations
She's givin' me Brexitations

Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations
Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations
Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations

I know just where and she sends me there

(Oh, my my, what a sensation)
(Oh, my my, what desperation)

Gotta stop those bad vi-brations a-happenin' to me
Gotta stop those bad vi-brations a-happenin' to me
Gotta stop those bad vi-brations a-happenin' to me

Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations
Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations
Bad, bad, baaad Brexitations"
