World class, but outside of the Premiership so not up for goal of the month. He slices through any defence with amazing ease, and without feeling the need to dive or throw a wobbly. A real role model for the kids, and would be a great asset to England.

Player of the year should not just be based on goalscoring (although Drogba's allround contribution this season has been first class). You and I both know full well terrylamps that Essien is far and away the best player of the season.

You'd find no argument from me on that one, he's been an absolute star, playing out of position, no complaints or histrionics. In his rightful midfield role he has definitely been a revelation this season and has without doubt been one of the best midfielders in the World...to top it off he's a very quiet unassuming nice guy!
