Zimbabwe ,,, silly, silly people ! 6 Years, 5 Months ago
So, Mugabe has gone (following his millions to Singapore?)

But what changes?

His (former) deputy takes over and the same party is in control.

Mugabe would have died in the very near future anyway and they would have had exactly the same result !

Silly, silly people ..... just because you replace the Commie leader (with his Commie Deputy) doesn't mean anything will change.

Very doubtful they should ever have been given independence .... the country went from feeding Africa to being unable to feed itself.

ITK types just what he reads - from Derbyshire

Probably never been to Africa, never mind Zimbabwe

The people are the finest there are - I was there (Harare) once

Rhodes was akin to Drake - in terms of the maltreatment of human beings - and being awarded for it

Is it any wonder why what happened, happened...

Can't hold any Test match either and can't get a successful domestic league off the ground either.

Their Test matches are pointless also, they should face South Africa every 2 years then have a rivalry.

I think NOT !

With an adult prevalence rate of 13.7% Zimbabwe is one of the five countries hardest hit by HIV and AIDS globally.

An estimated 1,102,864 million people - one in five Zimbabwean adults - were living with HIV and AIDS in 2009 while approximately 66,073 people died of AIDS related causes.

JK - even you quote your sources.

When copying facts/news from the media and dedicated information sites.

Like most...

Actually its much worse than it originally appears
... given that around 20% will be sexually inactive (too old),
and another 15% also too young, the chances of catching AIDS here are much much higher than the figures suggest.

Robert Mugabe's finance minister has been admitted to hospital after beatings he received in military custody, his lawyer has told the Reuters news agency.

Ignatius Chombo was detained when the military took over last week in events that eventually led to Mr Mugabe resigning as president.

He has injuries to his hands, legs and back and was blindfolded throughout his week in custody, lawyer Lovemore Madhuku says.

The politician had been accused of corruption and abuse of power relating to his time as local government minister more than a decade ago, he said.
