But it's a better story JK.
The media think (and quite right in most cases) the public are too stoooopid to understand complicated stories. And the fact that society is f****d is worrying for the stooopids.
So the media simplify - heroes and villains, black and white, nice and simple.
And the stoooooopids have a good excuse to call you a nonce and sneer at perverts and condemn mothers of cot death babies as killers.... nice and simple.
And the con men and women can go on shouting "I was raped" or "he assaulted me" and the police can go on black and white, black and white and the trials can go on being bad or good, bad or good and guilty or innocent, guilty or innocent.
And we can go on living without having to think about complex issues.
Now shall we have burgers or scampi for supper tonight?

zoe davydaitis 24 gets 18 months for falsely accusing phillip young 47 who she never met of rape.
how did they find the truth? she owned up.
how many "victims" never own up, take the compo and run?
she will serve 9 months.
young would have got life.
stinks.

Better Story's point is spot on. Having lived abroad on two occasions, and visited many foreign countries, the stunning lack of intelligence of the average Brit on the street never ceases to amaze me. Our press sells on the back of this susceptibility.
At least now, horrific stories of wrongful convictions and false accusers seem to be coming through thick and fast. I hope this awareness may in time herald the start of the turning of the tide.
