Star Wars : Have A Brain Fitted ! 6 Years, 4 Months ago
I walked out of the first film - an insult to anyone's intelligence

Just proves how many "fish" there are about

yet another informative and superb review from ITK.

I hope it isn't catching..whatever it is he suffers from.

I have never got passed Phantom Menace and the original trilogy. Sci Fi has never been my cup of tea, but if people want to dress up and spend a fortune on merchandise let them.

I'm a bit with you on this Andrew; loved the first trilogy then they went right off; I'll go to this only to watch the money being spent on Special Effects and music. I am currently really impressed by the latest Mission Impossible movies.

I am not keen either. I couldn't get over the yucky brother/sister thing, and it bored me to sleep.

Like most sci-fi the story is pretty dopey, and as for special effects, no matter how good they are, they can't sustain a two hour film on their own. I see star wars, marvel films and dc comics films as children's films, much rather watch "The battle of the sexes" or Wonder.

Ditto.

ITK likes poorly acted and badly written dramas like the one about cheating registrar's.

I like that one too, so he is not alone. What does it matter if something is trashy, as long as some people enjoy it?

Tell that to ITK.

Star Wars' tales from the unpublished tome "Brush With Fame : Dairy Of a Nobody #2. Charles Pooter Lives"

It seems George Lucas agrees with ITK and doesn't like this film.

When he was living in Sydney in a rented mansion right next to Fox Studios (which Rupert Murdoch bought for $1 from the State government and told me to "fuck off " at the opening party) , I had to help Lucas get outside his gate when I was walking by and found him struggling with the latch (he would walk to the studio).

He asked me if I needed a DVD player as he was getting rid off one and I accepted..he retrieved it from his garage.
It never worked.

A couple of weeks later I ran into Ewen McGregor at a party the Sydney Opera House & I collared him & told him an old friend of mine was his gardener..the son of the film director Nicholas Roeg. Ewen was fascinated and we talked about garden plants for 10 minutes & then I told him how Lucas had given me a broken DVD player. Ewen said he had given members of the crew 4 DVD players and none ever worked as they were China coded.

The enthusiasm of British cinema-goers for lightsabres remains undimmed as they splash £27.5m on the saga's latest instalment.
