Trump puts out a sensible tweet. Gets slated for it. 6 Years, 2 Months ago
Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation. Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused - life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?

How on earth can anyone critise him for saying that ?

Without due process we might as well go back to ducking stools.

Good for you, President Trump!! Frequently described as leader of the free world, the President of the USA has criticised presumption of guilt and stood up for the concept of Due Process.

... and people are calling that offensive and "low"

Well they could always go to live somewhere without due process and presumption of innocence. Eritrea perhaps, or ISIS territory, or North Korea. Of course, once there it's probably better not to make critical comments about the leaders of those places.

I think the problem here as it's not what he's saying (which is correct) but that the Grifter In Chief is one of the worst false accusers on the planet having disgracefully pronounced Hilary Clinton guilty of all manner of crimes (on no proof) and Barack Obama being a foreign citizen, falsely claiming he bugged him etc etc and 100s of other falsehoods.

I mean for fuck's sake- Donald Trump is a bastion of a walking talking vile false accuser so he doesn't really deserve any credit for once in his life saying something that is true.

But then of course I'm prejudice as the scumbag owes me $3000 from 2006.

I worked on the promotional campaign for his 2006 Miss Universe (never met him though).

He refused to pay our invoices. The agent who organised the job who was a friend of mine got ripped off for $45,000 after he paid air-fares and accommodation for 3 Trump employees (who after a few drinks said how much they hated the bully). They said our work was the best they had ever seen in the various Universe events. Trump's view was "come to NY and sue me then" which of course would be financially prohibitive.

It would probably be a nice Claim To Fame having been ripped off by the president but of course there are 1000s of Americans in the same boat.

All OK now though as JK has promised to pick up the tab (plus 12 years of interest )

That's interesting.

A very old friend old mine, whom his mother was a tenant for of Don senior and Don Jr would hover around his dad to collect rent. The young president would be very cocky and lippy, whilst Don Senior would be very calm and understanding about payments.

I have never met Trump so I can't give you my opinion.
