Censorship is alive and well - C4 postpones show 18 Years, 1 Month ago
Channel 4 has postponed a drama about British soldiers in Iraq as the UK negotiates to free 15 Royal Navy personnel captured by Iran.
The Mark of Cain, which was due to be broadcast on Thursday, shows British troops abusing Iraqi detainees.
Families of the captured crew and senior military figures had expressed concerns about the timing of the show (promted, no doubt, by newspapers with their own agenda).
It is based on three British soldiers who were convicted of abusing Iraqi civilians in Basra in May 2003.
Do the authorities think that Iran might not be aware of the abuse if they postpone the show?

The Iranian President - announcing the release of the 15 British sailors - has got B-Liar summed up, hasn't he?
"I ask Mr Blair: Instead of occupying the other countries, I ask Mr Blair to think about the justice, to think about the truth and work for the British people not for himself."
