Flash Harry and the Belles of St Trinians 5 Years, 8 Months ago
Once upon a time not so long ago, a humble ex bobby got some middle-aged ladies who had attended St Trinian's approved school to appear on TV saying they were victims of crime by Coco the Clown.

This made his name and he was showered with media awards. Other clowns were investigated, tried, jailed. Along the way, he gave an interview to The Times' money pages about his finances. Asked what his most lucrative work was, he replied "Giving a talk to a private company about crime earns me £3,000 to £8,000 an hour."

But he stressed, "I do not want to be seen to be making money out of what I do."

Yet he seems to have a flash set of wheels:

"Busy week ahead - so car washed and looking good @Jaguar . On @thismorning tomorrow’s discussing child safety."

And he has been spotting wearing serious bling:

"He updates us on the case while driving a sleek black BMW, a chunk of Rolex showing above the left hand on the wheel."

A watch is visible in this photo. If a Rolex, it looks very like the Cherry Index Red, retailing at £42,240.

He also seems to favour cufflinks and suits with contrast stitching around the lapel button hole (bespoke?).

Going by appearances, he looks flush. Wonder how the ex St Trinian's girls are doing, not to mention his old friends at the police station.

Correction: The similar-looking watch is the Cherry Index President.

It's a crass and vulgar watch and the deliberate but careful way it is displayed on the wrist for the camera sums the man up. A Phony.
Very Flash Harry.

I prefer the much more subtle Cartier Tank watch - the simplest one-as favored by the late Princess Diana (and now worn by her son William) which is small & square and always accurate and was purchased for me in lieu of wages at Harrods by a music personality who was broke at the the time but still had his Harrod's card.

I was even more delighted to read recently that the late Andy Warhol wore the same watch and said he never winds it up or even looks at it but wore it as it was the most fashionable thing to do(although a simple Timex is just as acceptable).

Mary is a man of no style or substance and it shows. Karma is A Bitch and is preparing to strike.

(editor: can you possibly drop any more names? )

# Speaking of St Trinians..can you imagine such films being made today, let alone the Carry On fims?. Everyone would be on charges once the @MeToo crowd were finished.

If you've a supplier called Paco, Mr 'X', that sounds a bit dodgy, in a Columbian white powder kind of way! (Come to think of it, that's another form of crime that seems to be missing from MWT's tweet stream of horror. Along with property crime, fraud, blackmail, etc.)

The Cartier Tank does look like a nice watch. Doesn't look ostentatious.

It is a wonder that the St Trinian's and the Carry On films are still shown on TV. Probably just as well the male actors are no longer around to face accusations.

Al Capone and 1920s style sounds like the Friends of Italian Opera gathering in Some Like it Hot. Wonder if they were wearing spats.
