Yesterday I managed to drop a bag of groceries on my doorstep drenching the doormat.
On picking the sodden thing up I realised that not only had I never replaced it since buying the house 40 years ago, but I'd inherited it in the first place. It had to be 50 years old and was looking it.
So instead of scrubbing it clean I dumped it in the bin and went out to buy a new one today (

We are quite good on doormat replacement although granted not very eco friendly with them. The dog pounds in and makes them filthy.
Fallen cherry tree blossom is a losing battle at the moment as well with doggie paws.
