wonderful. Sad on my last visit to London to see an old haunt,The Sombrero in Ken High St had vanished and was now a..mobile phone shop . Stonehedge..is there anywhere more impressive..driving around the crest of a hill and seeing it in a slight mist in the distance? There are many places more visually impressive than Stonehenge, in my opinion.

What does make it virtually unique though is that nobody knows who built it, or why.

Or even when, or how - as the stones themselves are not local to the area.

And clues seem non-existent - in this high-tech era of spectroscopic investigation.

Spot on Honey - many places I know so well (and almost seem to recognise the old snaps!). I once wrote a novel (never published) which worked on the premise that when we die we simply go to a different level of time in the same physical places that we lived. I thought it was rather good (so did my friend, now top Director, who wrote his first screenplay based on it). I must dig it out and improve it.

I like the idea of that. I sometimes think that in the afterlife I might like to just travel through
time and watch things.
The book sounds great.

crikey does that mean I'll be in El Sombrero for Eternity?

it was a bit seedy.

It had a small revolving dance floor that had ground to a halt on which I'm told saucy things happened after the club shut.
