I would vote for immediate independence for both Scotland and Northern Ireland (and I bet both would vote to split if Brexit goes through in any form). In fact I predict - if Brexit happens in March, both countries will leave the UK by the end of 2020.

Bearing in mind that Northern Ireland only survives because of a £1 billion payment - from the UK Exchequer EVERY MONTH - how do you think they could exist independently?

The EU would have no interest - and the Republic can barely make its way, after virtual bankruptcy. Republic of Ireland only exists today because of EU bailouts.

Eu published its no deal policy today...the end of the project fear rubbish.
...and quite possibly the end of Ryanair and Spanish tourism from the UK....

I would expect without the Brexit bailout the EU will struggle to hold itself together financially... Merkel and Macron are hanging in there by a thread...shadows of their former selves....the very idea of either Scotland or NI going independent... without a currency,and the doomed Euro as the option...the only option...and barred from moving to England after the inevitable economic mess.of course we could always blame Brexit

"trade will continue"? Of course. After 5 years are spent negotiating new trade deals (the average time) by which time there may be no trade to deal. The world moves on very fast.
