Christmas facts... 6 Years, 8 Months ago
Just three...

- the Bible doesn't mention 25th December as the date of birth; many think it occurred in the spring

- it was only after 1848 that Christmas trees became common here, after their introduction by Prince Albert from Germany

- the jolly bearded Santa, in the the red coat, originally came about via a 1931 advertisement drawn for Coca-cola

Jesus actual birthdate is no where in the Bible. Christians just took a date from an actual pagan holiday and decidesd to use the date to celebrate Jesus.

Also there are many theories who Saint Nicholas was.

I believe it is a myth that coca-cola invented the red Father Christmas, but the illustrations are so lovely I am not surprised they popularised it.

I think we would be better moving Christmas to February when there is more chance of snow.

Coca-cola put that advertisement out - in the days of the depression. Two years after the stock market crash of 1929.

America was dying - but, almost simultaneously, the Empire State Building was completed.

Gambling was made legal in a small town in Nevada - Los Vegas.

The Red Santa became a symbol of a better future - and nicer neighbours. Classic timing.

Before the Santa Claus advertisement - there is no vaguely similar recorded image.

No white bearded, red coated jolly old bloke.

Unless you know different..

These illustrations show the development of the Father Christmas drawings, and also that they pre-date the Coca-cola advert.

there are serious studies that show Jesus would have been born around August due to the fact of the census, weather and other tell tale signs,

Which means he was a VIRGO (he's nothing like a Capricorn) which by mere coincidence means he is very similar to Hedda.
