It is a complicated story which involves a couple who abused their children by persuading them to tell revolting stories of Satanic abuse, and someone who is clearly not the full shilling, who believed it.

This extraordinary story has been bubbling around for ages - contempt orders I think. But we are starting to see Southwark Crown Court as a bastion of good sense.

Reminds me of the McMartin school trail, it went on for years.

I remember following the trail. 'Was it or wasn't it', 'did they or didn't they'.

It was very a bizarre case and harrowing, yet no one was convicted and the kids were egged on to lie.

I'd be interested to know what Sabine McNeill's past history is. Does someone suddenly start doing this kind of thing in their 60s/70s? Her name seems curious to me. Both she and another elderly woman, Belinda McKenzie, who seems to be an ally of hers, have Scottish surnames without being Scottish - as far as I can work out, Sabine is German and Belinda English. Not out of the question that one or both of them could have acquired these surnames (and possibly even forenames) legitimately, but I wonder...

A person or group of people try to whip up a scandal - or simply invent a fictional one - mainly online and then try to monetise it by requesting donations to help continue their whistleblowing - or fiction writing - work. Same as the entrapment vigilantes with their imaginary 14 year olds.

Sounds like an interesting business model, if that's what they did. It would be interesting to know if there have been any prior dodgy money-raising activities.

Indeed. jut like a lot of so called charitys.
I strongly suspect that the vigilantes in many cases will blackmail their victim/paedophile instead of contacting the police.
