Brexit: how Britrish manufacturing will collapse 5 Years, 3 Months ago
The Brexit supporters never ever explain what will happen if Brexit goes ahead.

They fell for the Brexit campaign of "not listening to experts"..rather they voted on emotional issues that will not be solved.

I've seen so many gormless comments that basically say "everything will be sorted" and "we can make new trade deals with Australia and Europe wants our goods etc etc"..a sort of arrogance that British made goods are so superior who would the rest of Europe dare to not want them?

I don;t if they are being wilful ignorant or can't be bothered looking into it...for a starter every single facet of trade will have to be renegotiated with the entire world. Every country has already put trade deals in place and they often take up to 5 years until concluded as they are so intensely complicated.

Great swathes of country Britain have been bolstered by EU cash..they scream "it's our money anyway as we gave it to the EU"..true but under successive UK governments they have allowed those same areas to deteriorate, They would never have got the money without the EU stepping in. Yet most of them voted Brexit.

Turkeys voting for Xmas

This LBC Twitter thread explains the real complications of negotiating trade deals throughout the world and it's not pretty..it should frighten everyone to death

"Debunking WTO, and what "trading on WTO terms" really means... As EU members, we participate in over 750 international treaties. Many relate to trade, enabling us to trade freely with the EU, the EEA, and 40+ other countries. 1/26"

Other treaties cover non-trade issues, from air worthiness certificates to drivers licenses, UK and EU citizens’ rights, food safety, environmental protections, workers rights, etc. 2/26

On Brexit Day, we leave the EU. That means we lose all the benefits of its treaties. The treaties are gone in a flash, as if we’d fed them into a shredder. (That’s not the EU being vindictive, it’s just how the Article 50 process works.) Even *if* we have a transition period 3/26

I suspect a lot of Leave voters are less interested in the facts than in going with their gut feeling that the EU is a bad thing.

That's an interesting and alarming Twitter thread. I just wonder how many Leave voters would have the patience to read it, let alone let it give them doubts about their stance on Brexit.

Below is a video that I saw shared on Facebook recently with an approving comment by someone who voted Leave, having originally been posted and generated thousands of likes by someone who seems to be a member of the far right. It repeats the usual lies (e.g. 350 million for the NHS, Turkey joining the EU) but if it's being shared so long after the lies were debunked, the facts clearly can't be too important for many people.

I originally thought it was a Vote Leave video, but now I'm not sure where it comes from or how old/new it is, as it's not on the Vote Leave YouTube channel. John Sessions seems to be in it. It's a lot more entertaining than what I remember of the rather worthy and fact-laden Remain campaign videos.
