I bet every single person who saw and heard this shed tears as I did; an 8 year old boy waved at the men in a plane, mistaking their request for him to move out of their way, so, instead of killing him, they crashed into trees and all ten died. His whole life, racked with guilt, has been spent tending their memorial. Dan Walker is the hack of the year, picking up on this and turning it into a story. And what a story. A truly wonderful piece of humanity, broadcasting, sensitivity, class. I like Dan on BBC Brekkie and he's been good on sports but this is a total triumph and an example to all of us in the communications industry.
