There's a big difference, Jo, between deleting an account and putting it on hold; you lose all the supporters you've built up over the years and hope will buy your book, watch your TV shows, listen to you on radio and so on. It is akin to media suicide in this new social media world and MWT knows this very well.
Ah, I see. I don't use Twitter, so wasn't aware of that.

Whatever the truth about Savile was (and I'm not convinced that he was as evil as he was painted, or even evil at all) the masses were perceiving him as a paedophile, and that tweet linked Rolf Harris to Savile and consequently with being a paedophile, in my view.

As someone commented in response to the tweet: "A journalist has now been sacked for naming this man and yet you did... and nothing happens?"

I'm still hoping that he will have to account for this, but I guess it could be a long wait.

I can't understand how he got away with it either. But it seemed clear from the wording of the tweet, saying that Rolf Harris was "currently" being questioned under caution, that MWT had close ties with Operation Yewtree if he was essentially able to tweet police activity in real time. I have wondered if the tweet was all his own idea or if the police were using him as a means to put the word out. The timing of the tweet/police questioning on the day the Leveson report came out was also curious. It's hard to see how Rolf Harris could have had a fair trial after accusers were essentially advertised for in that way and it's surprising his lawyers didn't seem to take action about that.

You don't use twitter, Jo? Oh dear, I added a total stranger I thought must be you the other day.
Although, I was irrationally disappointed that "you" were blonde and pale instead of very dark with luxurious hair, as I had imagined.

(The blonde lady seemed perfectly lovely, she just wasn't as expected. )

I agree about MWT's bleating interfering with the case.
How could it possibly not? He gave the impression that he was actually involved in the case.

Your imagination has clearly been running riot!

If only someone would find out what his role was in Operation Yewtree. Interviewed on This Morning alongside the director of public prosecutions after the Rolf Harris verdict, the blurb under the video said he had been "liaising with the victims of Rolf Harris for many months" (source) What business had he doing that and what did it involve exactly? I think we should be told, especially as the accusers' stories were supposed to be independent.

Regarding MW-T’s Twitter account deletion. Their is nothing stopping anyone from using his twitter username @mwilliamsthomas for a new account. He’s Deactivated his account & the username is then freed up for whoever to use it. I can’t say I’d want it 🤧😲😱

Excellent point, Jo. I do hope this comes to Rolf's attention and he sets investigators onto it. The results would probably be extremely useful to him, but rather less welcome to someone else. A bit like when JK hired a very good investigator to dig into a certain person's role in his prosecutions.

Re:MWT/Twitter/Malaysia/JK 5 Years ago
Call me old fashioned, MW-T interviewed at least 2 complainants Regarding JK. Now Sod The Notebook for a minute & Push it to one side & ask for the interview tapes which was protocol back then & he said he spent hours with 1 Complainant? I think it would be a good place to start by asking for both interview tapes MW-T would have used to interview the Complainant & the only exception is if a statement is taken from the accusers house because they are so disabled that they could not attend the police station.

Has any attempt to getting interview tapes of MW-T recording his “Complainants”?
Also in Total how many Witnesses did MWT actually interview regarding JK?

I’ve got information from an A1 Source that even though MW-T had left the Police in 2000 I was shocked to learn in 2000 & 2001 & 2002 that whilst a non police officer he did and was asked to interview a couple more “Complainers” This was MW-T & Surrey Police Collab!
Each needed each other & MW-T took Witness statements whilst NOT in the police force.
I’ll leave it at that. I was Horrified !
Now here is something I’m not Sure of? I was debriefed in Mid 2003 by Surrey Police due to my investigations in to David Smith The Taxi Driver who took celebs & BBC Emoloyees to where ever he was told ! I wasn’t based at Surrey but I was Debriefed by a Female DCI who I knew & a guy who was the spitting image of MW-T. Now because I was not 100% it was agreed at Max Cliffords Appeal Team & me that it would be difficult proving MW-T was taking my notes down as AC12 the Anti Corruption unit has everything that MWT ever did & copies of tons of tapes & written statements & notebooks etc etc.
This is why I’ve known from late 2003 to date that all FOI’s Regarding MWT were answered with “We do not have that information.

No tapes - all "interviews" written up by bent cops weeks - sometime months - from notes taken. One of the big parts of the fresh evidence - heavy criticised by Merseyside Police and attempted to be concealed by the latest lot. Disgusting behaviour - spotted only thanks to the Judge at my latest trial. MWT took "evidence" home with him; didn't deliver it to his superiors until a month later. All part of the appeal.

The Metropolitan Police anti corruption unit is called CIB3 not AC12 - AC12 is a fictional name for tv

Omg what a bloody shambles Surrey Police back then with The then DCI Maria Woodhall & DSupt Craig Denholm. I know Maria & I tried for approx 2 weeks to get hold of her as Rumours were circulating that JK was to be questioned again. I couldn’t get near her & she’d Suddenly Disappeared with no explanation? She had risen in the Ranks to DSupt! But as soon as I heard the BS of “Lets set up JK” I rang round every dept & colleague of hers & was stone walled ! Denholm I think made it to Deputy CC? Both not available & no idea where they were?!

To Say JK has a big chance to overturn his 1st convictions is an understatement as zero Protocol was followed in JK’s Case! I do know 100% that MW-T was asked by Surrey Police out of the police force 2000-2003 he was still asked to take statements & this comes from a High Ranking Ex-Detective. I do know who asked him if he’d do it as he got a scoop & Surrey I still don’t know why as an ex-Police Officer what the hell they they were trying to achieve by using MW-T. The Explanation I was given is MW-T was bringing more “Victims” to Surrey Police & in Return for a solid conviction he did several interviews whilst a civilian. I’ll leave it their but I can furnish JK with more Nuts & Bolts should he ask or need them 👍🏻
All the best & ive every faith that Jk’s Conviction will be overturned.

Last piece on the Subject. There were plenty of disgruntled cops & Colleagues Who Called MW-T’s Boss. DCI Brian Majorum at the time a loose canon who sang the same Hymn Sheet at MW-T. But their big Boss DSupt Eric Ward Was a stickler for the rule book & if anyone was going to kick MW-T out of the force or ask him to leave it would be Eric Who now works in Anti terrorism to date.
