Re:Julian Assange 5 Years ago
Peter Tatchell is correct but it's a shame he didn't give the same support to Harvey Proctor who has suffered so badly after recent events.

I challenged Tatchell on this and he said it was because of Proctor's right-wing view when he was a politician.
The fact Proctor hadn't been an MP for years was immaterial.

So I view Peter Tacthel as a phony and a fraud who is a prime example of those in the gay community..and there are many- who would throw other gay people under the bus.

You simply cannot be an "activist" for those who you select as being worthy of your attention.

British law and justice (stop laughing ) has been built over eons on treating everyone similarly and fairly no matter that you may find their views repellent.

I interviewed Tatchell once and he came across as a gentle soul and intelligent and likeable.

But then Josef Stalin could be amiable and sociable and was kind to his cat.

Interesting history, points out how corrupt the prosecutors were being, and how innocent Assange is given that it seems they were struggling to accumulate sufficient evidence even despite the radical feminist Swedish laws. I imagine today's Swedish laws are even more radically feminist though, I think they have been working to abolish the statute of limitations for sex crimes globally so all the countries can do a full Operation Yewtree.

Unfortunately I do get annoyed with Tatchell's gynocentric pandering, statements like "In doing so, they also let down the women who rightly wanted their day in court". If the women are liars then it's totally wrong that they have their day in court, sending the women to spend a few decades in a prison cell might be more appropriate in that instance. Through language, Tatchell almost insinuates guilt. In any case, I seem to recall the original charges were some obscure feminist drivel about him having sex with a woman whilst asleep, so I think even if th charges are 'true' their pathological desire to punish him so harshly for a situation they put themselves in kind of wreaks of narcissism.
