TOPIC: James O'Brien on Brexit

James O'Brien on Brexit 6 Years, 4 Months ago
I love James O'Brien's sensible questioning of these Brexit fans who can never actually say what it is they voted for.

## I suspect the program producers deliberately seek out the clueless ones so James can pick them apart.

He makes one very good point though that one Brexiter refuses to accept:

That so many Brexit voters accepted claims made that in reality, were false or could not possibly happen.

One MP tells you the UK will definitely not be in the Customs Union the day after...another says the opposite..David Davis as a prominent Brexit Minister claims trade deals will be done the day after Brexit..possibly one of the biggest lies of all ..and so and so on.

You know every Brexit fan you talk to has a different view of what Brexit means to them.
They cannot all be right.

So endless lies were told deliberately or via ignorance.

If you went to a General Election and voted Labour as they said the very next day they were elected they would begin building 5 new NHS hospitals and one million council houses to be completed within one year and failed to you would rightly scream "FRAUD FRAUD" and demand heads roll.

If you voted TORY because they said they would cut your taxes by 50% immediately but upon election said "sorry we can't do that now" you would scream FRAUD !!

Brexit is this 1000 times over ..hence the endless Unicorn claims...David Cameron opened Pandora's Box and no-one knows how to close the lid

Got to admit you are brave keeping this going hedda, especially after you were made to look such a fool on your previous post about this subject.
I doubt many remain supporters would all agree on the reasons they voted, and in my political experience I could easily make a similar video, from the other angle.

Interesting to note how all your 17m racists are now backing the new Brexit Party...topped many polls in its first week....
..my take on this is simple...but I hope sensible...honour the vote to leave, then if it is the disaster that project fear mark? Tells us will happen then we can look at it again. Insulting the hardworking population with endless crap is just leading to a rise in the extremes filling the vacuum left by an out of touch centre....

...we had a referendum,we had a general election...then we had remainers in parliament and government slowly going back to their old ways...in this age of the internet you cannot treat people like fools...

Cooler today...far too hot this last week

Oh really dear?

What in your eyes or the 1000s who weighed in and commented?

No wonder James O'Brien gets so frustrated talking to dickheads.

But that is just fine, because we are just a bunch of racists who make up silly theories, and then try to prove them with facts...it's called nick Clegg syndrome...even when caught out on video just pretend the person with the proof took it out of context....so for example the video I have of nick clegg stating the referendum result will be honoured,or that a European army is a dangerous myth,or that a vote to leave means coming out of the customs union..well just because I said it in public does not mean I meant it...I can say what I want to idiots and racists...its all good fun,and we all love a bad looser

Hope you are well GM,we must have a proper chat when I'm back from this business trip.

Nick Ferrari was sensible young man but sadly like a lot of people has become a narrow right minded loon as he got older (and was very good looking once as well)..or ..is it all part of an shock jock's act?

I only watch O'Brien occasionally and yes he does 'talk over' callers but I reckon he needs to as some waffle on and labor a point he is trying to address while never responding to his question but...we've all been around long enough to know producers subtly grill callers before they go on air and choose one they know will make good listening.

It could be said O'Brien is choosing the rusted-on Brexiters to get across his points as a Remain advocate.

That doesn't change the fact millions of Brexiters were told different things would happen and in most cases, none of it was true plus the fact the official Brexit mob broke the law.

If a political party won power by breaking laws everyone would rightly be demanding a new election be held (as has happened many times in other countries). It's happened many times in the UK & Oz leading to by-elections.

And many of the fabrications used to sell Brexit will have serious consequences...surely everyone knows the rules that govern EU citizens moving to a different EU country like the UK?. But of course people break those rules which isn't the EU's fault.

Yet my dear pal who is a NHS nurse (who is on a Zero Hours contract that plays havoc with her life which she blames wrongly on the EU) acknowledges the 10,000s of foreign NHS workers and really believes that after Brexit all those jobs will be taken by British people but she cannot explain why it hasn't already happened (because it didn't and won't)

along with generally believing every time she drives past a building site all the workers are Polish but still loves the illegal garage run by Poles & Romanians who do a brilliant job foxing her car for half -price. Cherry picking constantly.

O'Brien is the only one I know of who addresses the fact all Brexiters voted for all manner of different things they think will happen yet it must be obvious that most of those things will not happen...so why aren't they angry about that???

### the main problem of course will be those non-existent trade deals that will either never happen or take 10 years (usually) to conclude in which time the UK may be in the Mother Of All Depressions from which escape may never happen.

#### there is an obvious fact here as well : millions of Brexiters may actually know that Brexit will not pan out as claimed but selfishly have their own little reasons (my nurse pal who think she won't see any more foreign nurses or will get a 40 hours a week contract- which is nil to do with Brexit...) and don;t care about the other consequences or think everything will fall into place. Hence: Unicorns !!
