Change UK get off to a poor start 6 Years, 4 Months ago
www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1118233/change...p-european-elections

The new clear cut second referendum party have not had the best of starts.
The PC leaning brigade seem to have some distinctly non PC candidates.

The eu elections under the PR voting system are becoming a defacto Second Referendum...and when you compare how successful the Brexit Party have taken over the leaves mantle, and just look at how badly remain are going again...

...but it's still a long way to go...and no doubt much more will happen...and it'll be fun to see the excuses...but first we will have more stupidity...Lord Adonis,a lead Labour candidate is one who I expect great stupidity from...because from a political science viewpoint the Referendum was lost by remain..not really won...

A good morning to all.

'Successful' Brexit Party!

A three month old organisation - made up largely of failed and/or mediocre politicians - which has never even fought an election?

Talk about jumping the gun...

Oh dear, that isn't good.

This story is in the Independent and Standard too.

Here's Chuka Umunna being grilled by Emily Maitlis.

A quick look at the polls will show that no new party had ridden so high since the SDP...back in the days of Michael Foot....and before that it took years for labour to make any impact as the previous one.

The post was about the troubles with their rivals at Change...and of course if such educated political commentators on this thread do not think going from nothing to topping the latest polls is not an achievement then who am I to disagree?

Looks like Farage may well win his second euro election...but then any old nobody could have done that ....especially with a bunch of failed/mediocre politicians

...early days yet, lots could happen....I'll be looking very closely at what others have to say...
On my return from down under....till then hedda can be excused from reading the Express...funny how many of his preferred reads have failed to mention these candidates...could explain how his view is so balanced and well informed...

Farage has failed to win a seat at Westminster five times.

If that isn't a failed/mediocre politician, I don't know what is!!

Will he go for the double hat-trick, do you think?

Don't tell Hedda

I think some of Barny's reply would have suited Change much better...Brexit party are run by the man who took a nothing party and turned them into Euro election winners. ...and this time his team are much better...60k registered supporters too in a short time after launch...

I wouldn't like to think this mess could be used as an excuse by the Remain side...this election is a defacto referendum...it needs to get both messages across...

Stuck in an airport...crap Wi-Fi...and far too hot!

They are all cowards - not one of them held a by election after they ditched their parties. Anna calls people Nazis thtn calls police when someone called her one.

For anyone in their right mind to believe that Farage could be an MP is both farcical and illogical.

Soundbite Man isn't a bloke that inspires confidence - or has any pedigree or track record in politics.

With the rhetoric and looks of an Estate Agent - this man has no significant policies, nor has his new 'party'.

Has anyone examined the manifesto of his new party (number 3/4?) - or does it exist?
