I think, for all their faults, the Lib Dems need all our votes in both the local (Don't Vote Tory) elections and the European elections (don't bother with the little parties).

I think he is a very thoughtful leader but have been disappointed at their lack of clear agenda and impact...

75 now, but still one of our brightest politicians.

A brilliant economist (Cambridge/Glasgow) who worked for the Kenyan Treasury in the 60s - amongst many other places.

Highly experienced - he later became Shell's chief economist, before entering politics.

To gain ground they needed to win back trust after the College Fees broken promise. Unfortunately they keep screwing up. How can a party with Democratic in their name take a stance of opposing a national referendum and making “Stop Brexit” their campaign slogan.

Trust is easy to lose but hard to win back.

Yes I fear you're right Blue Boy and suspect they won't win back trust; I myself deserted them after Clegg allowed Cameron to bomb and kill Libyan women and children using my taxes. But I grew to understand Coalition was not easy and in the end thought that Government was the best we'd had in ages.

I like Vince Cable, but having a policy that will completely overturn a democratic vote is a complete betrayal of the British People and democracy.

They shouldn't have had a referendum in the first place, but now that we have had one, it would be unprecedented to not even implement the result.

Say we did have another referendum, I'm pretty sure that Leave would win by an even bigger majority.

Once we have left, then it would be fair to campaign to go back in, then we would call it Brentrance.

He always seems to speak sense and I can never understand why the Lib Dems, who seem to me so moderate and sensible, do so badly in elections.

I thought he came across well on Question Time the other day. The Nottingham audience seemed to be very conservative, doing a lot of booing whenever someone (four Remainers on the panel, one Leaver) said something anti-Brexit, pro-referendum or anti-Trump, but it seemed to be more the other three Remainers on the panel (one Tory, one Labour and Caroline Lucas) who attracted their ire rather than Vince Cable.

They need to change their name, as they will not accept the result of the biggest democratic vote in British history, so can't really be democrats.

They don't have any candidates in my local election. There are three seats to be shared between three Tory candidates, three Green candidates and one Labour candidate. Only the Tories bothered to campaign in my area, and they focus on local issues, so they get my votes.
Normally, there are several independents, but the appetite for any kind of election in my county has diminished since the referendum result was ignored. Apparently, the attitude in the London bubble is totally different to where I live in the North East.

I will vote for an anti-EU candidate if there is a Euro election, rather than not vote, because I'm one of those weird people who love the atmosphere of elections.
