Abdication - UK 6 Years, 3 Months ago  
Old age catches up on everyone - but is a particular hindrance to a monarch.

In addition to Japan, the rulers of many countries have abdicated in recent years - because of age.

These include: Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Vatican City, Spain, Qatar, Bhutan and Cambodia.


Charles - already an OAP - should now be given his chance, after waiting so long.

And before it's too late...

We might as well have an X factor style competition where the royals showcase their waving and ribbon cutting talents and we can all phone in to choose one.

The Queen is the queen for life. She has others to take on most of the work load, and it looks like they are doing fine as they are.
