TOPIC: Our May elections
#188600
Our May elections 6 Years, 3 Months ago
I don't want to go on about this but May 2nd is a great opportunity for anyone who agrees with me, that May has been a disastrous PM, to express their contempt - Don't Vote Tory. Vote for anyone else- just NOT Conservative. That should deliver a bloody nose in the local elections. As for the European elections - Remainers MUST vote LibDem (don't split the vote) and Leavers MUST vote Brexit Party (again; don't split vote; forget UKIP).

Brexit Party!

Why vote for a party with no policies or manifesto - and never won a seat anywhere?

If there ever was a 'here, jump on our bandwagon' party - this is it...

It's a real shame that the Remain side is so split. It's a pity The Independent Group/Change UK don't seem to be willing to form an alliance with other parties. I'm disappointed in them and suspect they're just going to be a flash in the pan.

Apart from the absence of policies and manifesto - there is the matter of funding.

Farage says that £750k has been raised, including one large donation.

However he refuses to divulge the source or amount.

Do you not think JK, that answers are needed before advocating voting for this fledgling party - including details of their policies?

I have no time for Brexit but those who want it have nobody else to vote for in the Euro elections especially as it looks like Brexit won't happen so those MEP's will be important.

It's worth pointing out that no party has ever won a seat until they have won their first one.
That applies even to the major ones.

Many parties - like the Labour Party - won a significant level of votes (and local representation), before arriving at Westminster.

The Brexit Party has:-

- no policies

- no manifesto

- never garnished a vote

- unproven ownership/funding

- never had a candidate elected, anywhere

VOTE for what!!??

Do we vote assuming that Brexit is going ahead, or that it is cancelled? Because we need a different type of person for either way.

Sounds a great protest vote.

No fucker is worth voting for these days.

I've just seen a comment on Facebook about Nigel Farage which seems very apt, i.e. that he's the archetypal conman, who just needs to convince people to trust him. So it makes sense that he wouldn't want to pin himself down with a manifesto.

As for the Brexit Party's funding, he exhibits another conman trait by dodging the issue:
