Milkshake Madness- not buying it 6 Years, 3 Months ago
I'm not fully buying this incident.

There are some facts we know:
1. he's an army veteran (so what?..except of course that means he must be honest..yes? No)
2. it's not a milkshake, it's some sort of yogurt concoction
3. said veteran is breaching electoral law by wearing a rosette outside a poling station
4. he's apparently got 22 grand in donations for a new suit..brilliant
5. No witnesses. Strange.

Speculation & oddities:

1. he claims (or did he?) that it was "thrown" by a yob on a bicycle. It doesn't look like it was thrown from a distance by someone on a bicycle- more poured over him.
2. why is he grinning in some shots? yet in other pics looking rather gloomy? seems a tad staged
3. why is holding a half-eaten sandwich in some shots & an (old) mobile phone in the other.
4. someone claiming to be the shop owner nearby says it didn't happen as claimed but apparently he's a fake.
5. Well know copper says there is a nearby Tescos selling milkshakes so that proves it happened. weird..doesn't prove anything other than said (retired copper selling books) makes things up..besides. It's definitely not a milkshake- it's some sort of thick thing.
6. how do we even know it was "political"? He might be some cranky old bastard with enemies and one saw an opportunity to toss their yogurt at him. Or maybe it happened as he said.
I reckon this story will develop..

Mind you this IS Brexit/Remain violence with a milkshake involved..watch how "Tommy Robinson" reacts like the seasoned thug he is ..

Hedda - great to be so knowledgeable about this incident, from the Australian outback

Many of your 'facts' are erroneous; it might be an idea to surf more

So that your posts can be more relevant and accurate

Any news/views on Pell and Rush - they're from the colonies...

Ahhhhh....Hedda...that piece was doing the newspaper rounds for quite a time before you picked up on it...who knows if it's true or not?.....but we do know Tommy the Robbingson was assaulted by a remainer, and we do know Farage was assaulted...two out of three are in no dispute...and you did make a quite silly mistake when you said a gang of muslim thugs were in fact Brexiteers...

....I'm just waiting for Barney to tell us there is an ancient by-law that states all estate agents who cross the town gate afore nightfall can be covered in sheep-dip....or failing that a milkshake of choice...

....May is gone...we await exact results...arithmetic will be interesting...Tory choice of leaders from the worst pool of talent since 1997 will be fascinating reading...jockey for position in the centre...and find it's already saturated, and no room at the Inn?....or move to the right, nick the Brexit Party third of the votes?....But then have all the 'One Nation' crazy gang go off and join the now forgotten 'Change UK' muddle....?

As you have spotted the flaw in my cunning plan (ok I lied)...you will of course now be expected to analyse the forthcoming events....and the answer must, under no circumstances have no more than 5 references to either how gorgeous you are....or for that matter must not include Transgender Aardvarks ....

A Good and pleasant morning to the wonderfully observant Hedda

so you come on her and admit you are a thug? honest I suppose.

Why do you assume "Tommy Robinson" the many times convicted criminal was assaulted by a Remainer? (he might have even been but I heard nothing about Brexit mentioned) ..he was milk-shaked by the bloke he was rabbiting to ... who claims Robinson called him a "Paki" and he reacted via the milkshake.

## Robinson does get very menacing looks and actions from alleged Muslims such as the infamous video of the diminutive Tommy backing away from some Middle East looking large chaps..and tripping over a bollard but...I mean if you go into a town and have a reputation for inferring all Muslims are rapists and terrorists then using your logic : " If you give shit and you will get shit back" don't expect to be invited to afternoon tea by the local Muslim community.

If you think viciously punching someone for tossing a milkshake on you aided by a handful of other thugs who weighed into the "paki" then..well it says a lot about you.

The "piece was doing the rounds in the newspapers" was after it was picked up from twitter but the feed did make valid points that were entirely reasonable..and many of those commenting were supportive of the Veteran and pointing out some fallacies..like the fake shop owner who claimed Veteran yoguted himself..so if you read the Twitter feed you would know this as the fake shop-owner was gaining ground until shot down.

When an incident becomes a "news story" and used in the way it was (certainly by some on here) as the heroic Veteran fighting for Brexit but is attacked by a yobish Remainer who milk-shakes (wrong substance)him but and makes claims that begin differing...such as saying a "yob" abused him and he laughed at the yob who then threw a milkshake from his bicycle" ..which is not how he first said it happened...it is perfectly reasonable to question whether this was a genuine incident.

As reported..it's fired up the Brexit Mob as an incident of terrible Remain violence.

But I've been very fair here..I've said Mr Veteran may not have made the claims he did (as he's gone to ground with his 22 grand) and everything is being reported second -hand.

If posters cannot see the games being played in tabloids..then they should be pitied.

And very important: said Veteran did not say there was any talk of Remain or Brexit and there are no witnesses that we know of.
It could have been a Remain supporter..it could have been a neighbour who is sick to death of some old bugger who bangs his bins about and says he's a veteran so sod off or someone he owes 5 quid to.

Why do you unquestionably immediately accept a tabloid tale ? Because it suits your agenda.?

It is perfectly reasonable to question an alleged incident that garners numerous news stories that is extremely political (far more media than a vicious punch to the head to Jeremy Corbyn- passed off and never corrected in the MSM including the BBC as an "egging" when video of the event shows the vicious attack).

Or explain why it isn't reasonable to ask questions?

## Barney- I live in a city of 5 million people (although it's estimated there are really 6 million) and have an interest in what happens in GB as I am still a British citizen but also whatever happens in Europe affects Asia so such silly talk of "colonies" is really quite facetious if not somewhat pompous seeing we now live in a Global Village and seemingly I get to know a lot more news than many millions of moron Brits who still..will not explain why they believe in Brexit or what they think will happen after.

### and you know full well what happened with Geoffrey Rush ( a victory) and I'm not commenting on a case before the courts.

It didn't stop you pleading Pell's innocence during his trial!

And I didn't know that his appeal had started.

On GR, I was just trying to guage Australian reaction to the false allegations against him.

There's no evidence he called him a "Paki" and if so please send a video, also he the thug was seen laughing at the back of the car, looking proud pouring a milkshake.

Please please tell me, how I am a thug for sticking up to a friend/ friends or girlfriends or myself, after someone said or something or did something for me to fight back ?

Remember I was in the pub and brewery trade for Ireland and some states in USA - yes I have dealt with very rough people even it means barring them - they get even more nasty. There's was unwritten rule in Eire - never call the police.

Never let anyone walk over you.

you are the one who says you weight in physically and justify "Tommy Robinson" and his thugs viciously belting into a man who threw a milkshake...when he may well have got fed up with Robinson's insults which are well known and racist.

It is illegal you know. Robinson & assorted thugs could have been done for assault if "Paki" man reported it (despite what charge he may face)...you don't get a pass meting out punishment because someone assaults you..something that's always lost on the Neo Nazi mob who scream "Law & Order".

You admit you react the same way.

I don't, I don't let anyone "walk over me". I respond with the law. Far more devastating.

If you cannot see that being violent and even justifying it doesn't identify you as a thug then it's obvious violence is in your nature.

The point here is not a defence or an attack on Milkshake Veteran..it's legitimately asking for evidence and more facts because a seemingly mundane situation allegedly involving 2 men has been blown up into a political incident with Silent (he isn't) Majority (he's not) just assuming a newspaper report is correct (for Crying Out Loud..how many times do people have to be told tabloid hacks are the biggest liars and fabricators on the planet and I know..as JK certainly does..because I've helped them)..

How many frigging Leveson Inquiries are needed before the public realises the MSM is an awful lot of fake news..sadly not in the way the revolting "Black is White" way Donald Trump claims it is.

All newspaper stories should be questioned...especially when they are used so effectively as in this incident is..... superbly timed or mere co-incidence ?.

1 a man illegally wears a Rosette outside a polling station which clearly identifies his politics.

2. there isn't a scintilla of proof claimed Yob was a Remain supporter and even Milkshake Veteran has not said Yob made any political statement..just that he abused him after "looking at his (illegally worn) Rosette"..well perhaps Yob is just an Everyday British Yob (millions of them..most of them are Brexit ) who hates Rosettes and this one set him off early in the morning.

So many bloody assumptions made that are turned into fact..when they are not.

2. there are no witnesses to the falsely claimed "milkshake"..it's obviously Yogurt..no splatters on the ground as the numerous photos taken show..doesn't mean it wasn't tipped on him by the "Yob" as claimed..certainly it couldn't have been tossed from a pushbike..but we don't really know whether Milkshake Veteran even said this..he's gone to ground.

3. But there was a witness..the photographer..why no word from him / her..gone to ground as well.

4 the photos spread like wildfire and are picked up by the media (including the BBC who incorrectly at first describe him as "WW2 Veteran") and it's still only mid-day.There are always 1000s of voters who are undecided and such incidents ...real or staged can swing a vote in a tight election. It happens all the time.

5 2 Paras turn up as bodyguards within the hour (according to reports) ..must be their military training to get there so fast wearing almost identical t-shirts with the right political colours as seen in Milkshake Veteran's tie (covered in raspberry yogurt).

This is the correct way to handle a violent attack..unless you also want to go to jail.

This is violence (and the perp was jailed for it) yet Jeremy Corbyn doesn't react as you do nor do his supporters who restrain the attacker..not belt him up.
Still classed as an "egging" beacuse the attacker held an egg in his hand (which didn't break)..if he had held a copy of The Sun newspaper would it be called a "Sun Newspaper Attack on Corbyn"? (maybe if it was rolled up it might).

Incidentally...that video of that man punching Corbyn demonstrates the sheer madness the Brexit vote has created which I doubt will ever be healed.

It's claimed his attacker yelled at Corbyn "respect the vote"..well Corbyn is actually a Brexit supporter so this is just lunacy. He is bloody respecting the vote (albeit playing poltical machinations)

Moreover the (advisory) Referendum did not state what type of Brext there would be.,..but any sort of negotiation which is the core of politics is simply out of the question for millions of Brexit voters who all seemingly voted for their own beliefs..ie Brexit means different things to different people.

Millions and millions of Brits seemingly cannot grasp that the EU is a complicated contract within a group of countries and with that contract the way of breaking the contract involves 1000s of steps that must be taken.

The Brexit promoters avoided all this and have created a situation when these millions simply will not accept that the other EU countries who are part of that contract and the EU Parliament have no choice but to respect the course that must be taken to leave.

And Britain simply cannot break away and avoid it's responsibilities because one-one will ever do business with them again.

They simply demand we "leave" and tell Europe to "sod off"..it just can't be done.

And that's why Referendums are so dangerous. You might get the result you wanted.

Theresa May, apart from all her other failings was in an impossible situation. She had no choice but to fail. Just as Boris Johnson will.

Was it about Corbyn supporting a second referendum?

The milkshake man could of walked away Hedda.

He also said it slipped out of his hand turn retracted his statement. He knew what he was doing.

Still waiting for your evidence about Tommy coming out as "racist".
