It was reported that a GoFundme account for Our beloved Para Veteran Don McNaughton had raised £14,000 but I can only find one Gofundme account for a Don McNaughton (there's a lot of them)which has a goal of £500 and which hasn't received any donations yet.

Other reports say that there was sudden withdrawal from the claimed £14,000 of over £10,000 donated by one man. Why? Has that Gofundme account now disappeared because it did it's magic?

There may be a GoFundme account under other names which I can't find.

Our Milkshake Vet has gone quiet after happily talking to the media on the day.

It's been a fast evolving story with tabloid hacks like Piers Moron jumping on board with such witty claims (and so predictable) like "you've already lost the fight" etc etc.

This is bizarre. It's one old man who says a milkshake was tossed at him at 7.30am in the morning.
No witnesses although someone on hand to take a lot of snaps of what is clearly a Yogurt type product that looks spilled..Yob could have been up close and shoved it at the Vet..as there is no concoction on the footpath.

Oddly in this day and age no CCTV footage!

A police report has been made..but not by Milkshake Vet..a "third party".?

some really odd aspects to this whole story which example today's media.

An ex-copper who apparently has 'credentials' in some famous case (can't remember) put his two penny's worth in by claiming a supermarket was ..oh too far away or too close or some rubbish but alas, he failed to note there is a Burger King about 300 yards from where our intrepid Milkshaked Veteran which happens to sell, a lovely yogurty type concoction which looks just like the mess on Vet's shirt.

Is he yet another frigging ex-cop trying to forge a new career (he's a writer now and has a book to sell...don't they all?) or he was a lousy cop in his day and perhaps all the other unsung cops did all the real work and he took the credit not unlike one I won't mention ( Mark Williams-Thomas). Talk about weaving yourself into the tale.

A 2000 book by Dermot Walsh : “Bloody Sunday and the Rule of Law in Northern Ireland” goes into some depth on Milkshaked Veteran's attempted murder charge quoting the words of the judge..that in extraordinary times said Paras operated under difficult conditions so basically it was hard to prove said Para had attempted to murder the teen runaway.

Walsh claims this lead to a lessening of culpability and as a result , dozens of civilians were killed by Paras.

He was found Not Guilty- innocent.

# Personally..the fact Milkshaked Veteran is a Para means nothing to me. They and the UK government were murderous in Northern Ireland and sorry, I do not respect soldiers just because they were soldiers (ie paid trained killers).

Perhaps someone took umbrage at him disturbing the neutrality of a polling station and decided to lob a dairy product. One would think that the police would have tracked down the assailant by this time, especially if he went off to buy the product and had interaction with shop staff and/or was caught on the premises' CCTV.

The guy said the product was bought at the local Co-Op.

"'Some yob, mid-20s, he came across from (a) street, walked over to me, gave me the finger, went up to the Co-Op, got a milkshake, came down here and threw it on me. Politics today.'"

Perhaps you sensibly ignore the combined British media as it's they who are "intrigued" by this incident and have trotted out a 1000 tales about the "ex-Para Veteran cruelly milk-shaked by a Yobbish Remain supporter" and a million Brits have hyperventilated on social media ...and even on KingOfHits with Silent (he's isn't) Majority (he's not) posting the tale as presented by Britain's combined media who sing from the same song sheet and just assumed..as they did ..that Yob On a Bicycle With Yogurt somehow represents 16 million Plus remain Voters and Ex-Para somehow represents 17 million plus Brexit voters.
