My position is that there should never have been a referendum on such a trivial matter - we might just as well have referendums on how much VAT we should pay or which side of the road we should drive on - my feeling is it doesn't really matter - only the changing would be a nightmare so probably not worth the trouble - but we elect people to learn the details of these and other matters and us uninformed should not pontificate. Since we had one referendum, we should now have another; do you really want Brexit? And, if you do, it has to be on May's terms as we won't get the offer changed. If then the majority vote YES - let's get on with it. If no, revoke Article 50 and deal with the hundreds of far more important issues.

Our EU membership doesn't matter?!

More than 50% of our exports go to fellow EU members.

Without tariffs or barriers!

The VAT analogy is quite apt because as James O'Brien keeps insisting..millions of Brexit voters probably voted for what they think it means..as in "what VAT should we pay" with answers like "none" "10p" "£1" "£50" and so on...no-one is going to be satisfied so how are you going to please everyone when they all have different desires?

and the fact that the difference between the millions of Brexit fans and Remain fans is in fact rather small...there's going to be a country where half the citizens are well pissed off for a very long time no matter what happens!!

solution?..no idea (yes, unusual for me )

# a second referendum could be compulsory and lay out every facet of leave or remain. But would people take notice? They've been told to "ignore the experts" and I reckon they did.
It's no use bankers and "captains of industry" saying there will be endless problems as they are now regarded as the "elites" and the enemy and untrustworthy and Brits now demand that "the swamp be drained".

Donald Trump riles the world (or is it Vlad Putin?)

It's a nightmare.

We got into this mess because of a stupid referendum; let's get out the same way (and never have any more).
