I don't much like what I see and hear about the man and suspect he did, probably, cross a few boundaries in his sex life but what's happening to him rankles; it has all the signs of the Establishments ganging up on someone; from the UK to the USA and Sweden; all the signs of those in authority trying to get their pound of flesh. "Vindictive" is the word my QC used in my 2018 debacle. It's the feeling I get about the way Assange is being treated.

Reading the US Indictment it's very persuasive re: him "conspiring" with Chelsea Manning to hack into and release Top Secret papers..which doesn't mean any of it is true.

Mind you Wikileaks did release names of US 'agents' which could have meant some were murdered..

I don't like the man as he seems to have a fanatical belief in his own superiority but also believe he's being treated with great vindictiveness and unfairly.

Obama commuted Chelsea Manning's sentence because it was way over the top and Assange has really done time in that Embassy..they should let him quietly go.

Yet again we're on the same page Hedda.

The fact that Assange is charged the the all powerful Espionage Act shows the intention of the US to punish him.

Over 100 years old - and strengthened/broadened several times - this Act classes hundreds of WikiLeaks' publications as highly illegal.

Letting him go quietly is simply not an option for the US - which will want to use him as an example to those who put American lives at risk.
