It is a crime to criticise a court or a judge there - and, on conviction, a fine or prison sentence may be given.
Abolished in the UK some time ago, it was used in the George Pell case - when some court reporters were accused, and convicted.
Conversations about court matters in Australia are consequently somewhat muted - as walls have ears, and recording devices ubiquitous.
