TOPIC: Carl Beech verdict

Carl Beech verdict 4 Years, 9 Months ago
Due soon and my worry is that all those behind him, particularly Police and Media, will avoid any censure as everything gets concentrated on Beech, whichever way this goes. I think Attempting to Pervert the Course of Justice should come into play against those who assisted and encouraged him, either to get great stories (Exaro) or promotion, kudos and budget increases (police).

I think some maybe shaking in their boots while others wipe their brow and go Pheewwww that was close.
JK I do agree it's only going to land on Nasty Nick's shoulders.

It is such a shame Anna Raccoon did not get to see this, she was sharp as a pin and always on point in reading between the lines.

I wonder how many millions this story has made for people, the cops investigation, exaro, Williams-Thomas, newspapers and media and of course the conspiracy theorists still shouting cover up.

How much has this trial cost?
What sentence will beech get ?
Is this the last week hear of it?
Who will play Beech in the film?

I like to think that Anna Raccoon is watching eagerly from wherever she is now.

I don't have much sympathy for Carl Beech, but I very much want him to receive a fair trial.

In a previous thread about this case, I pointed out that Mr Beech's prosecution was largely based on exhaustive investigation finding no evidence for his claims. I'm not sure why this should represent a realistic prospect of conviction beyond a reasonable doubt.

Many other men are prosecuted for so-called sex crime based on nothing more than an accusation. A specific example is Rolf Harris's prosecution for groping Wendy Wild. He was accused of doing this at a disco that exhaustive investigation found no trace of. It's not apparent to me why Wendy Wild and Carl Beech find themselves on opposite sides of their respective trials.

Prosecuting counsel is Tony Badenoch QC. I wonder if he's familiar with the CPS guidance on rape and sexual offences.
www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/rape-and-s...er-21-societal-myths

Mr Badenoch said that while Major Beech [Carl Beech's stepfather] was a violent person, there was no evidence he had sexually abused his stepson.

According to the CPS that's Myth 5: If She Didn't Scream, Fight or Get Injured, It Wasn't Rape

"He presents himself at any given moment as he chooses to at that point in time," Mr Badenoch told the court.

"False identities, creating fictional people, pretending to be someone else, but all the while knowing very well that he was doing it, because he did so consciously, and being prepared to tell deliberate lies about the same.

"That sort of conduct in the life of Carl Beech was as habitual and easy as starting the day with a cup of tea might be to some of you."

...this defendant, shifting, shuffling and lying, and deceiving and dancing and twisting and twirling and running."

Oh dear, Myth 6: You Can Tell if She's 'Really' Been Raped by How She Acts

Carl Beech has also been criticised for the long delay to report his allegations, and that he allegedly never mentioned anything, even to close confidantes.

Myth 10: If the victim didnt complain immediately it wasnt rape

Ok then, CPS, which way do you want it? If your guidance is correct, then why isn't Carl Beech the complainant in the trial of Lord Bramall and Harvey Proctor? And if your prosecuting advocate is correct, then why wasn't Wendy Wild (and countless other women) prosecuted on the same basis as Mr Beech?

I'm absolutely with you on this Randall and fear the Beech verdict will provide a scapegoat but in fact it is the law and police (and media) behaviour that is at fault. In Dixon of Dock Green's day, Beech would have been given a cup of strong tea and sent to a duty psychiatrist.

This is the outcome of 'The Paedophile Finder General' mindset, they are guilty because I say so, do not question it you paedophile supporters!.
Mark and others including the incredibly shrinking Tom Watson that are happy to name support the cause.
Look at Williams Thomas, check his tracks record of solving crime, look at his playing 14 year old girls on the Internet to lure in men to meet up, make a TV show out of it all in the name of fame and fortune.
According to the perverts hunters lives have been ruined even ended, famous celeb having helicopters film a raid on their home all in the name of outting the pervert and Jimmy Savile, just believe. This is why it ended this way with Carl Beech.

I have to say, I do appreciate Randall's contributions here, and this is another fine one.

I don't have much sympathy for Beech, but he really does seem to have been a pawn in all this.

What disturbs me most is not the ill-conceived changes to law or policy (though they are obviously a big part of the problem), and it's not the grifters and fantasists who have thrived (though their contribution has been significant), what disturbs me most is the so-called professional people – educated people – journalists, politicians, lawyers, and senior policemen and women, who should have been able to make considered judgements, to recognise where caution was required, and apply a little common sense and common decency or, dare I say it, wisdom. Wisdom is a precious commodity at the best of times, but it seems to have long since departed these islands.

If ever there was an argument against Brexit (and I'm no remainer) it is this: given that we clearly can't find a dozen people in the UK with the gumption to run things, perhaps casting the net a little wider, say, across the whole coninent, might be our only hope.

Thanks, Misa.

A very good friend of mine, who resembles me in many respects, is constructing a website at the moment. There's sure to be something on it of interest to you. I'll post a link when it's published.
