Over a quarter of recent UK homeless deaths occurred in Northern - even though its population is only around 1.8 million.

During the past 18 months, more than 200 homeless people died - the Human Rights Commission says, primarily for political reasons.

NI hasn't had a government now for almost 3 years - and is run remotely, and badly, from Westminster.

It has also been a pawn in Brexit affairs, with the DUP have considerable leverage at one point - bearing in mind its 10 seats (now reduced).


Hopefully with Brexit back on track, the major social and economic problems there can be rectified.

Each month, the UK Exchequer currently subsidises the province to the tune of £1 billion.

It's not just the homeless that are being ignored in Northern Ireland - through the absence of a government there for nearly 3 years.

9,000 nurses are to strike, for the first time, for a number of reasons. Not least, being paid less than their other UK colleagues.

Northern Ireland nurses are being paid between £1,400 and £4,700 less (per annum) - and the Health Service there is at breaking point.

About 300,000 people are waiting to see a consultant for the first time - and because of the strike - all routine procedures are being cancelled.

Sadly, not a great part of the UK to live at the moment - and many await the affects of Brexit there.


And the likely return of a land border with the Republic, which remains in the EU. 300 miles of border with numerous crossings will be a nightmare to control.
