Shanghai Disneyland, Great Wall (part) and Ming Tombs are all closed - and China is responding quickly to the pathogen threat.

Hopefully the country will curtail the impact - through its ability to produce almost anything, including antidotes and vaccines.

Interesting you say that. Some information has literally just come my way about a certain political blogger.
This year isn't going too well for them.

Virus now believed to have originated, late last year, in a Wuhan seafood market - where livestock was also illegally held.

Cases now recorded in South Korea, Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan and United States.

None here yet - but the Foreign Office is advising against travel to Hubei province, and attempting to repatriate UK nationals.

Worryingly though - our Beijing embassy is closed for the weekend - and the assistance to British visitors, is different to get.

Human-to-human infection is now deemed likely - for the coranavirus - after a German lady there became ill.

She had attended a vehicle/car seminar in Bavaria with a Chinese company colleague - who became sick, on the return flight to China.

Both are now receiving treatment - in Germany and China; this information will help the effort to find a cure.

And also to curtail its spreading. Staying away from large groups seems appropriate - including those closely confined on aircraft.
