Well, even if it is him, he is not going to be sitting there waiting to be arrested, is he?

Sounds like the poor hermit disturbed by Brian in the Life of Brian.

What a sad life Lady Lucan seems to have led.

I watched an interview with his wife and others.
He was a homosexual according to some on there. That's not a problem, but it could have been for others and the reason behind his behaviour and disappearance.
It was scandalous back then to be found as gay. In certain terms it still is today going by reactions of others.

Is he still alive though?

Statistically unlikely.

At 86, he'd already be 5 years over the average male life expectancy.

For the UK...

I love Lucan conspiracy tales.

He was bisexual and his lover at Etom was the painter Dominick Elwes, father of the actor Cary Elwes.

Elwes killed himself after being ostracized by the Lucan set for allegedly bungling approaches to the media..blackballed by the ghastly James Goldsmith.

I reckon the rumour, around long before they made a film of it- is true. That Lucan hid out in a remote Swiss Alps lodge owns by Goldsmith for a year and then said he wanted to return to "clear his name" which meant Goldsmith & others would be in serious trouble..so Goldsmith sent a small boat to bring him back and a hit man shot him mid Channel and dumped the body.

Lucan's blood stained car (his blood) was found in Newhaven, a few days after his disappearance.

That's not a theory - but gives a clear indication of what happened...

or was a good diversion.

seems a little too pat for me.

the class he was from..and mates like the awful arrogant Goldsmith..his prior experience of trying to have his wife sectioned.

It's always fascinated me as I had only been in my first London job for the second day in a Kings Road shop nearby and I thought.."crikey I'm really in the big smoke now"..that and the very same day selling 6 beautiful bedspreads to actor Gregory Peck. I thought "is this a normal day?'

The same Goldsmith who sold his business to Roops and wanted a referendum?

I said from day one how so many tragedies have one person at the pinnacle.

Wasn't Goldsmith's view of the European Union not eventually confirmed by the democratic vote of the UK electorate?

To leave the Union, as we just have done!

For many (like me) Goldsmith was right - about the EU, as the majority of our nation agreed.

It isn't about that anymore.

Remember, there are lots of unresolved and unsolved issues that need thorough investigation.

All is not done and dusted yet.

The media haven't managed to give the truth. And they won't because it will just be the final nail for them.

Everyone pays the piper in the end.
