TOPIC: Trump "peace" plan

Trump "peace" plan 5 Years, 6 Months ago
You'd think he'd at least pretend to give something to the Palestinians. I never liked Netanyahu even when he was Mayor of New York. His name sounds like something out of Gulliver's Travels.

Yes I cannot find anything verifying this; it was in the 70s or 80s but could well be my memory playing tricks.

By 1978, he was already appearing on American television, where his English made him an ideal guest to discuss Israel. He found his way into diplomacy and politics in the early 1980s, when he was appointed deputy chief of mission to the Israeli Embassy in Washington. He then served as ambassador to the United Nations before returning to Israel to enter politics in earnest.

As a young man, Netanyahu lived in Pennsylvania - and went to MIT and Harvard.

Later, he served in the Israeli forces - and was injured before he left, and entered politics.

I can't see any record of him being at the UN - and I'm certain he wasn't Mayor of New York.

Correction. You're right, he was at the UN - Wikipedia confirms
