Call Centre post of the day 17 Years, 11 Months ago
The guy asked me if I would mind taking part in a survey and answering a few questions about cars. Taking pity on him, I agreed.
It just went on and on and on. I could see no end to it and was perilously close to losing the will to live. I considered terminating the call, but my conscience got the better of me. He seemed a nice guy, and he's only making a living after all.
After an eternity, the ordeal was finally over and he thanked me, commenting that we had got through it in record time. Dear God!

We put our house on the market independently yesterday, within one hour of the evening paper coming out, an estate agent called enquiring about it.
I think he kind of missed the point of an independent sale!
Here`s my call centre whinge of the week.
I simply cannot understand why the company that completely doubled glazed our house last year ring up every month and try to do it again!
Only last month for the second time in a year, the "head of regional sales", spent nearly two hours in this office listening to our new mixes!
I think he deserves a "Skive" badge , bless him!

Well, it`s an ungoing discussion, call centres, on this board and whilst I appreciate the fact that most of the individuals are jobbing musicians and between work actors, I am sure they appreciate our japes about them.
One of my very famous now friends, used to have to do do the same infuriating little job on a train with a paper and pen!

I was once called (and interrupted) whilest shaving !
I listened to the caller for awhile and then said, "Can you hang on a minute?". I put the received down by the side of the phone and then went to finish my shave.
After that I went out, met someone for lunch and when I arrived home again (about three hours later !) there was a major "buzzing" noise coming from the phone. I hung up - and within minutes the operator rang and asked if I realised that I had left the receiver off?
I don;t think the original caller ever called again !
(Another good idea is never to answer "withheld" numbers. If someone conceals their number - they are up to no good !)
