Media madness out of control; nothing matters except "a good story". Facts inflated, language extreme, potential consequences ignored. Ghastly Nazir Afzal - ex CPS prosecutor from oop North - admits 6 people died as a result of his investigations. Didn't seem to spot the irony.

Sadly, the numbers of uneccessary deaths are piling up.

The politicians are having their little say.
I'm disgusted at them all to be honest. Many spent bowing to a toxic entity for what they could get career wise and politically. Those who knew the problem and didn't speak up are just as foul.
Matt Hancock of all people claiming to give a shit.
Yes, so much so he cancelled part two of the main inquiry which could have exposed the real fucking deep issues and more.

This is why I don't vote any more.
The country is politically built on and sustained by a pile of shysters with spades and money to rectify every issue to save their own ass.
Kick the lot out!
Lying, deceitful and poisonous officials have no place in public office and belong behind bars.

How much blame can Thames House carry?

More to the point, who is going to be there to remind them.of what they knew all along?

Chinese National Health Service - who are providing the figures - via the World Health Organisation, are hardly lying or exaggerating!

If so - for what purpose? It might be more in China's commercial interests to cover up some of the deadly statistics.

68,500 infected since December - with almost 1,700 fatalities so far, and no serum/vaccine on the horizon.

And all around us in the UK (and from our TV companies' cameras) - we can clearly see, with our own eyes, what Dennis has done.

South Wales has been particularly badly affected - with rivers bursting their banks, all over. Thankfully, only one death so far.

I had never heard of Ms Flack; but a tragic occurrence.

Barney I'm always amused by your worship of the media and belief in its veracity. In England & Wales winter 2 months 2017-2018 50,000 died from 'flu. Am I wrong to suspect the CoronaVirus panic is simple a media created "great story"? Just as the UK Government answered the 'flu epidemic by urging 'flu jabs (mine didn't work that year and we were later informed they had given us all the wrong vaccine). China is clamping down on movements so it doesn't spread. 1.700 deaths compared to 50,000. Which do you consider the more serious?

The issuance of an ineffective 'flu vaccine for a year, in the UK.

Or the rapid spreading of a totally new virus, to dozens of countries - by unknown methods of infection?

It probably will depend on how long it will take for a coranavirus vaccine - to be discovered, tested, manufactured, distributed worldwide and applied.

World Health Organisation is now saying that it could take up to 18 months for a virus to be available.

And that one of the biggest obstacles is mutation.

Which can be dependant on numerous factors - such as population(s), climate and previous viruses/infections in a particular area.

It's far to early to predict a 'trajectory' - and numerous laboratories, worldwide, will have to work together.

Seemingly China was quick to share the details and DNA of the virus - allowing work to be undertaken already from Queensland to Cambridge.

Whatever the media did or did not do to Caroline Flack, if she had been admitted to hospital and given effective help when they saw her the night before, she would probably still be with us.

And this is not unusual. It happens ALL THE TIME.

It's rather sickening that so many are dead around a program which is supposedly about finding love.

Goldfish bowl car crash TV.

How long before the program is taken off air?

It doesnt work like that.
Grown adults cannot be forced to be treated.

I know from experience.

I won't put the details on here because of idiots with agendas. This is one reason why people believe they are better off saying nothing.

All suicides need to be reinvestigated.
I will keep pushing for it.

But she wasnt a contestant. I dont know what the show has got to do with her death.
Of course she was distressed about being suspended from her job, but that would be the same wherever she worked.

The issue is that even when people are begging and pleading for help, there very often isn't enough resources, training or available beds so they get left even after being assessed as needing help.

As for people refusing treatment, if someone is not in danger, and can decide for themselves, absolutely! but when they have an illness that prevents them from making rational decisions, or they have such low self esteem that they refuse help because they don't want to be a bother or think they are undeserving, we should not be turning our backs.

If we see a man about to jump from a bridge we dont ask him if he wants help and walk on by if the answer is no, do we?
We grab hold of him until he is safe.
Some people need holding onto.

If they are determined, they will do it when nobody is around.

There is only so much people can do.

Years ago they were drugged and carted off.
Human rights has changed over the years. To a point we see these things happen more and more. A change for the better, was it?

Mental Health is pushed a lot these days and at the same time we see reasons why it isn't taken seriously.

Reinvestigate suicides.
I will keep on keeping on.

I have my own reasons for doing so.
