Harvey Weinstein acquitted 5 Years, 5 Months ago  
of the three most serious charges; found guilty of "third degree rape" What on earth is that? Rape that didn't quite happen? Attempted rape without violence? I really do start to think humanity has gone bonkers. Somehow a relief that the end of the world is at hand - for this bizarre species anyway.

Is third degree rape where the police beat the suspect up until he confesses?

He has been acquitted of two of the three most serious charges, yes it's true. His bolshy female defense lawyer may well be able to get him acquitted of the third most serious charge on appeal leaving a charge which attracts a maximum sentence of four years. My prediction is that he will serve no more than two years. I could be wrong.
