She is a disaster, from her love of capital punishment, to her immigration policy which excludes many of the people that we need (care workers) and saturates the market for middle class professionals.With prison populations over-flowing, she has the bright idea to increase sentences.

She has been sacked once by May for holding secret meetings with the Israeli pm. In what other line of work could you be sacked and then brought back to the same organisation to do a similar job.

Some people were even wishing death on Boris Johnson the other day. Probably because he is a black woman.

In today's Britain it appears that Boris Johnson is absolutely fair game for any criticism, regardless how vile, on account of his maleness, whiteness, age bracket and privileged background.

However, what makes Priti Patel's case interesting, is that the self same people who were gratified by our Prime Minister's recent hospitalisation, are the self same people who would ordinarily be howling from the rooftops, should a female politician of an ethnic minority background be treated to such frenzied critique, for having the temerity to say the word 'sorry'.

But not on this occasion?

Had she not said sorry, the line would be "WHY DIDN'T SHE SAY SORRY?!"
Now that she has said sorry, the line is "SHE DOESN'T MEAN IT!!

Talk about a no win situation.

Identity politics is off the table under such circumstances, you see...

Tolerance that extends to only those whom you revere or agree with is, in fact, intolerance in the first degree (wasn't that a Bananarama song?)

As for those forum members who are seemingly happy to casually divulge a primal desire to inflict physical violence upon female Indian immigrants, I say whilst I admire your flagrant and unabashed honesty, I can't help but ponder whether such biting invective would be used when opining on prominent females from elsewhere on the political spectrum.
I suspect I already know the answer to that one...

Tim, if you search this forum you will find examples of me being equally rude about Diane Abbot, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Jeremy Corbyn, Esther McVey and the liberal woman whose name escapes me.

I commented on her statement. Just her statement. Nothing else. Not her personality, looks, clothing, politics, race, nothing. Just the statement.
