Enjoying your daily coronavirus panicdemic videos..
Can you perhaps tell the story behind Sugar Sugar by Sakkarin
It’s such a bizarre version of the song... do you remember how the idea came about..
Thank you Jonathan for doing a video about Sugar Sugar, loved the back story and all the details...
I watched the video twice and will also play the song on Apple Music.
I also like how it’s a semi Instrumental, as you say, the original lyric was rather trivial so I like how you just sung the title/chorus hook and kept the rest Instrumental with the heavy rock guitar playing the vocal melody line.
Gosh those must have been wonderful times to sell over 500,000 copies..
I noticed it was put out by RCA and not UK Records.
It made me smile when you mentioned how you say you weren’t an easy producer as you screamed at the guitarist to play it how you wanted.. great producers are never easy.. as they have a vision on how they want the record to turn out.
Love your YouTube video diaries... especially during this panicdemic 😊
Quite possibly Tim but that was what I wanted, that was what I got and 2 million people liked it enough to buy it (though 1.5 million of them bought it as a track on HITS compilations and may have hated it).
