Many will be on the first tee again this Wednesday - following the lockdown relaxations.

With distancing an inbuilt feature, golf was sure to be one of the first sports to escape the banning.

After all, each player has their own ball, plays their own shots - and carries their personal clubs.

There's no reason to come near an opponent - or necessity to shake hands or visit the clubhouse. Shoes can be changed in the car park.

Players will usually travel to the course by car - so the golf is almost the easiest mainstream sport to play, in this distance focused era.

Except from angling...

Not forgetting it's one boring sport. It's more an excuse to make shady business deal's.

I remember when fishing was on TV, nothing more than bloke's sitting in boats with silly hats on.

Snooker is another one, don't get me started on snooker players.

EPL clubs are finding it very hard to decide what's next. There's significant disagreement between the 20 clubs - and a further meeting is being held today.

Behind closed doors games are virtually certain because of government regulations - and one option is to have these played at neutral grounds.

Neutral grounds though are opposed by some clubs who are keen to retain their home advantage.

In addition, the clubs in danger of relegation seem in favour of the league being cancelled - just like in some European countries - although the Bundesliga restarts soon.

Complications arise with player contracts expiring, mandatory quarantines, infections in clubs etc.

And the obvious danger that fans will travel to the grounds - and vigorously support their teams from outside.

Just lift lockdown. Why should people who want to go out shopping or watch sport be effected by those who want to be hermit's?

If you want to be shut in then please do, whilst others enjoy fresh air, excerise, restaurants, pubs theatres and so on.

Nothing is guaranteed in this world except death and taxes.

How much is left in the treasury until it's too late ?

What the heck is non essential shopping ?

Yes it is a real challenge for the EPL, and of course the finest players (and managers) may consider working elsewhere in Europe in better run countries returning to normality much sooner...

The procrastination and discord amongst EPL teams is simply because of the money available to the teams.

Some earn £150+ million; no team gets less than £100 million. From TV revenues alone! So it's no wonder they're all so anxious.

Being relegated would cost millions (hundreds) - although even that is small change to the billionaire owners.

All the broadcasters need to attend a new auction for the rights and all sporting events.
