The hysteria has started ! 17 Years, 11 Months ago  
The calls to arm all police have started already (forgetting that most are already armed to the teeth with CS gas, battons, stun guns etc etc).

Statistically I don't believe that the police face any greater danger than most other occupations. How many are killed each year on average? I bet its not worse than nurses (one in ten has been attacked according to the NHS).

Amazing. Weren't the papers ranting and demanding justice be done over that Menezes shooting where the Police got away with murdering an innocent man with an unwarranted brutality - 7 bullets at point blank range in the head?

Now the papers are demanding that ALL Police carry guns... aren't we living in enough paranoia as it is?
