I see the government is putting forward new methods on how to deal with sex offenders.
One of them is chemical castration which would be done only if a convicted sex offender volunteered for it as a way of treating their sexual urges.... is anyone really going to volunteer for such a thing!

Why stop at Peados?
Chemically castrate potential rapists.
i.e. - all men.
Make sex illegal.
Procreation through artificial insemination.
It would really simplify things.
In fact I bet that's the law by 2020.

Well I did wonder when this debate would break out.

Lets` compare this to an innocent party being wrongly convicted of murder and being offered the choice to be capitally punished or not.

In many cases, a wrongly convicted person, in depression, may well say, "yes go on and kill me as well, you`ve finished my life anyway."

A wrongly convicted paedophile has enough to worry about for life anyway and yet still there are monsters out there.

No doubt my in-box will fill on this subject, but if I didn`t think I could answer the usual peoples questions I would not post this message.

Three points here...

Medical experts say it only destroys the abilty, not the desire.

95% of child abuse is in the home by relatives and never discovered until AFTER the abuse - and very few abusers reoffend after conviction (the lowest figure of all except murderers - most of whom are in for life and therefore cannot offend anyway).

Sara Payne was not, I suspect, trained in this area. All sympathies for her awful loss but should she be making government policy?

She - just like the McCanns - is making a nice little career for themselves out of becoming "experts" - hoping that in the meantime NO ONE will remember that both children would be alive and well today IF ONLY their parents could have been bothered to look after them.

You really must be perfect to be able to stand on such high moral ground.

To suggest the McCanns are making a career for themselves at this stage of their ordeal is idiotic. If you feel so strongly about the exposure then stop posting every single time - you are the main offender in terms of the posts on this topic, everyone now knows your views on this matter so keep them to yourself from now on.

I haven't "posted" on this subject since I first said I was sick of hearing of them (about a week after the disappearance). I have replied when OTHERS have posted.

If you think my views are "unique" you should read some message boards (eg Sky) - there are A LOT of people who feel the same as I do (and even newspapers have made comment on this recently).

The McCanns, at the moment, are solely focused on trying to find out what has happened to their little girl. Whatever you may think about their parenting skills that is there only focus. I would love to have some details about your life that i am sure we can all criticise in abundance, or maybe you are the jesus figure that you presume to be never having made a mistake?

(one poster - not me - actually calls the McCanns, the McCashs !) And, as I said previously, several newspapers have now started to question their behaviour and motives (not including the German journalist who actually asked them if they had killed Maddie !)
